Oracle Shop: How to Purchase Primavera P6 PPM and EPPM Online

Need a little help on how to buy a Primavera P6 license? Trying to navigate Oracle’s website can be a little confusing. P6 Consulting Inc. is not an Oracle Partner reseller but we have a lot of experience and understanding the complexities of Oracle’s product line. If you are ready to buy, we’ve outlined detailed instructions on how to purchase a license directly from Oracle.

As a disclaimer, although we’ve done our best with our instructions, Oracle may change their Oracle Store website. Also, please be aware once you purchase the license “ALL SALES ARE FINAL AND CANNOT BE RETURNED”.

The general instructions to purchase are:

  1. Go to the Oracle Primavera shop page: https://shop.oracle.com/

– You can create an account with Oracle by clicking on “New User?” at the top of the screen or do this when you checkout the first time. 

– Click on browse products > Software > Applications > Primavera 

  1. Scroll down to the product list where you’ll see Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management and Primavera P6 Professional Project Management. 
  2. Click Buy Now beside Primavera P6 Professional Project Management. 
  3. Select the Term: 1 Year and enter the Quantity of licenses you want to purchase. 
  4. Click Add to Cart. 
  5. Click on the Cart icon at the top of the screen and click “View Cart”. 
  6. Your Shopping Cart will show Primavera P6 Professional Project Management with the 1 Year term and quantity. Above the product description click the button that says “Remove Support”. 
  7. A pop-up will appear. Click “Remove Support”.  
  8. Click “Checkout” after you’ve reviewed the order. 
  9. At this point you’ll have to create a new account or sign in if you already have one. 
  10. Go through the purchasing process. 

Create an Oracle Account

Step 1: Log into Oracle

1.       Go to https://shop.oracle.com/ in any web browser.

2.       If you have an existing account, click the “Sign In” button in the top left of the screen.

3.       If you are new to the Oracle Store, click on the grey “New user?” button in the top left of the screen.

4.       Fill in the fields to create your Oracle account.

5.       Check your email. Oracle should send you an email to verify your email address. Click the Verify Email and Sign In.

Step 2: Open the Oracle Primavera P6 Products Page

1.       Go to https://shop.oracle.com/ in any web browser. Sign in.

2.       Click on Browse Products to open the menu.

3.       Place your mouse over SoftwareàApplications. Click on Primavera. The Oracle Primavera products page will open.

Step 3: Add Primavera P6 Products to the Cart

In the Oracle Primavera products page, you can find all Oracle products you would like to purchase. Scroll down to the product listing.

Purchasing Primavera P6 PPM (Professional Project Portfolio Management) – Yearly or Perpetual Licenses

The Oracle Shop will allow you to purchase yearly and perpetual PPM licenses.

1.       In the Primavera P6 PPM Page, select the Term and Quantity of licenses to purchase.

2.       Click “Add to Cart”.

3.       Click on the Cart icon on the top of the screen then View Cart.

4.       If you are purchasing 1 year licenses, it is recommended not to purchase Oracle Support.

  • To remove Oracle Support, click on the “Remove Support” button.
  • If you want to purchase Oracle Support, click the “Checkout” button when you are ready to purchase the software.

5.       A pop-up will appear. Click “Remove Support”.

6.       Review your order. Review the note that “ALL SALES ARE FINAL AND CANNOT BE RETURNED”. Click “Checkout”.

7.       Continue the purchase through Oracle Shop with your credit card and account information.

A CSI (Customer Support Identifier) key will be provided when the purchase is processed by Oracle. Please keep the CSI key as a record that you are the rightful owner of the license(s).

If you have a yearly license that has expired, the CSI key will become invalid. The new CSI key will replace the old CSI key to indicate you as the software End User. Continue to purchase a yearly license when you are using Primavera P6 products to maintain compliance with Oracle’s Terms and Conditions.

8.       Continue to the Download & E-Delivery section at the end of the article.

Purchasing Primavera P6 EPPM (Enterprise Professional Project Portfolio Management) – Perpetual Licenses

The Oracle Shop only allows customers to purchase perpetual licenses of Primavera P6 EPPM. If you are interested in purchasing yearly licenses, contact an Oracle Primavera P6 reselling partner.      

1.       In the Primavera P6 EPPM Page, select the Term and Quantity of licenses to purchase.

2.       Click “Add to Cart”.

3.       Click on the Cart icon on the top of the screen then View Cart.

4.       Review your Shopping Cart for the product name and quantity. Since you are required to purchase a perpetual license, you will want to include Oracle Support with the license purchase.

5.       Before you click Checkout, please note that ALL SALES ARE FINAL AND CANNOT BE RETURNED. Read the disclosure at the bottom of the screen.

6.       Click Checkout.

7.       Continue the purchase through Oracle Shop with your credit card and account information.

A CSI (Customer Support Identifier) key will be provided when the purchase is processed by Oracle. Please keep the CSI key as a record that you are the rightful owner of the license(s).

8.       Continue to the Download & E-Delivery section at the end of the article.

Download & E-Delivery

Your order is available for download from Oracle’s E-Delivery site.  Please refer to the download instructions as follows:

Click the link below to the Oracle/Primavera E-delivery Portal: http://edelivery.oracle.com/  

Fill in the required fields with your information. 

  1. Accept the License Terms and the Export Restriction Terms (2 checkboxes)
  2. Click Continue at the bottom of the page
  3. On the next screen, select your product pack and platform (usually Microsoft Windows 32-bit), then click GO.
  4. View the Read Me file and download all files listed. Read and pay particular attention to the Quick Install Guide (usually first on the download list) which contains important information required to install the software.

When corresponding/calling Oracle Customer Service, always use your CSI (Customer Support Identifier) key issued by Oracle.
